Head Start Program

                      A great and powerful program that  helps children under 5yrs old, by getting them ready to enter social and educational settings...leading them into a formal education, their next stage of life. This program  covers everything in health, family well being, and school readiness. This was started as a part time "preschool" of sorts because society saw a need to give formal education to EVERY child regardless of financial or societal stations. Eventually, formal education became so important to the communities, that it allowed for Head Start to advance to full time practices and even more sub programs for families to utilize.

Becoming Involved

                     1. Pay attention to flyers, emails, posters/signs that the school sends out

                     2. Don't be afraid to talk to teachers, administrators, and other parents involved

                     3. Volunteer for classroom helper, PTO/PTA, fundraising events and more

                      4. Help your student with homework and get them involved in extracurricular activities
